There's Money to be Made of Michael

Vendors of all stripes from New York to California and beyond are cashing in the on the death of Michael Jackson. Nothing wrong with that. Maybe if I had the T-shirt concession for President Obama's election, I could have retired by now. And add to that the Jackson shirt and hat sales - and I'd be sailing towards Rio right now.

Reports from Los Angeles say the memorial service - maybe at $25 a head - will draw crowds upwards of 700,000 people. This is a Lady Diana type of outpouring and I think that number is far too Conservative.

Not everybody is happy about the coverage of Jackson. This biting column from the NY Post tells a much different story of how some people feel about the King of Pop's passing and the worldwide reaction from fans and the media.
