It's amazing what people will do if you ask them. This guy had just put his face pretty close to the beak of the blue parrot. Somebody in the crowd- with a video camera- asked him for a do-over. After thinking about what life might be like without a nose, he dipped toward the bird again and thanks to the advertisement in the background, I was able to get the shot I was looking for. The bird was a camera magnet at Venice, California beach on a perfect 75 degree day. I hear it's supposed to snow back east.
